    Exceptional in all ways

    Exceptional B&B. Wonderfully comfortable bed, great walk in shower and superb breakfast in the cafe downstairs. The hosts were lovely and allowed us to have breakfast whenever we got up. Great atmosphere in the cafe, very relaxing and cosy. Best B&B we have stayed in. Helmsley is a great place to visit with Helmsley castle and Rievaulx Abbey a short and long walk away and lots of great shops, restaurants and a brewery. Pignut and Hare was outstanding.

    Wi-fi could be improved.

    Porters B&B

    Stayed in Helmsley a few times, but 1st time at Porters. The location, accommodation and staff are 2nd to none. Parking on site which is a real bonus. Monika was absolutely excellent as were the staff. Accommodation is superb and it's more like stopping with family than a business and nothing seems to be too much effort. Excellent breakfast. Only downside was we never met Tony as he was away. Look forward to staying again and seeing both Monika and Tony. Thanks for a great 2 days.

    Very comfortable bed ,home baked cakes scones ect where delicious ,very friendly and helpful ,nice cosy, even had fire on in cafe which was lovely while eating home made scones

    Noise from road ,quick trip to shop for ear plugs sorted that ,would prefer tea making facilities in room ,

    Come to Helmsley quite often but first time we have stopped here and we were very impressed. Monica and Tony are amazing
