A step back in time in a gorgeous lodge wonderfully renovated.

It’s a short hop from the main road and we elected to stop the night on the long drive from the Costa del Sol to the U.K. Don’t be put off by Béjar which is a very ugly town which I thought initially was Candelario. Candelario is a really quirky, ancient but alluring little ‘town’ with a population of 800 of which the majority are over 70 years old. It’s a great place to break up the journey and step back in time. Advise eating prior to arriving as most bars and restaurants were closed in the evening. It’s actually a ski resort (but they won’t be holding the Olympics there 🤣😎 anytime soon)but the town is a must to visit and walk around taking in the mountain air. Dinner is served at the guest lodge (Posada)and is basic solid fare cooked by the owner who’s a lovely fella with a fascinating history. I strongly recommend giving it a go….

    Leuk adres!

Supervriendelijke medewerkers die ons van alles konden vertellen over het hotel en de omgeving. Prima kamer en heerlijk ontbijt. Fietsen konden we stallen op de binnenplaats!
