This is not the hosts fault and more of a building issue not the room itself but probably something for unsuspecting tourists who don’t speak Portugese to be aware of is not to be obliged to pay the doormen/security to have guests. I invited a guest over and they stopped me at the door and asked for a 150 “tip” to allow them in. The next day I asked the host and they said no I am allowed to have guests. However, the security did not ever ask again after the first time. Since it was only a one time thing it wasn’t so bad but still can be an annoying thing.

anfitrião atencioso em resolver o problema da resistência do chuveiro elétrico do banheiro mas infelizmente só conseguimos tomar banho quente no último dia pq resolveram trocar o chuveiro, uma vez que não sustentava por mais de 2 min a resistência e caia e no rj estava fazendo 18º graus no RIR. Ele, inclusive, falou que poderia nos oferecer outra estadia para retirarmos a má impressão. Estou aguardando a oportunidade... se ele, de fato cumprir com palavra, merece meu respeito

Location for beaches. Cute. Apartment with everything we needed.
An exaggeration to say this facility has parking. We went into the garage. The attendant could not read so even with translate apps we could not communicate. The people at the security desk were unhelpful and just waved in the direction of the garage. Minor point - some of the taps, hooks and towel rails were in need of repair.
