  Adequate but not premium and not relaxing

  Large living area

  The property is on a very busy main road near a corner. As you can imagine it’s noisy and busy almost all the time. The traffic can be heard in the apartment, so if traffic noise bothers you forget having a siesta or going to bed early. You really had to be very careful when crossing the road. Although the description of this property said public parking was close by we were never shown this parking. The owner told us we could park or the end of the street by the council bins. Not a great place to leave a rented vehicle. There is an external staircase of a full flight of stairs you need to go up before you enter the building. If you don’t mind taking heavy luggage up a staircase then it’s ok. There was no offer of help with luggage so be prepared to take it up yourself. Once in the building there’s another 3 or 4 stairs before you access the elevator. As with all old buildings don’t overload the elevator. The description said the property had a dishwasher, it does not. It does have a sink to wash dishes in. The kitchen did not have a tray for the oven, I would have liked such a thing so that I could have warmed food up. It also lacked a carving knife. A little hand mixer to froth up coffee would be nice too. The fridge and washing machine are new and excellent. Ample washing powder was available. For a stay of over 10 days only 3 rolls of toilet paper was available. If you don’t want to supply toilet paper, don’t say you do. We also ran out of hand-wash. Also although small sized rubbish bags were supplied, an extra bag for the larger bin was not. I found the owner easily offended when I questioned what the exact checkin time was and not professional. He can argue that he wasn’t it that’s my opinion and I’m sticking to it. He left saying he was sorry he wasted my time. I had stated we would arrive between 3 and 4 pm. I received a message from the owner saying he would be there to check us in between 4 and 4:15.

  Loved exploring beautiful Chania, lovely clean apartment.

  This property was not only extremely well equipped but super clean, the cleanest we’ve ever stayed in and we have stayed in a lot of places all over the world. Micheal the host was lovely and very helpful 🙏🏻

  The road was extremely busy and noisy and the bathroom shower wasn’t really adequate, small bath with handheld shower, ok for someone small but not suitable for my husband and teenage son unfortunately.
