Location
A group of seven adults, we stayed at Queen Street Boutique Suites for three nights. We occupied two rooms: B2 on the second floor and F3 in the attic. It is a city hotel, so we didn't have sky-high expectations, yet it fell woefully short on the essentials: cleanliness, order, comfort, and sleep quality. Both rooms looked quite different from the photos online; there were no tables or chairs. Room F3, in particular, was extremely small—so much so that there wasn't even a single step's worth of space between the kitchen counter and the bed. Furthermore, the room was clearly designed for two people; the sofa provided for a third person was placed in the low-ceilinged eaves area—essentially a storage nook—making it impossible to sleep there. When we mentioned this to the host, they insisted the sofa was meant for two and said they would only send someone the next morning to move it. When we pulled the sofa out ourselves, we discovered just how dusty and filthy it was. The sofa was broken and uncomfortable. The sheets, pillowcases, and towels were stained. Cleanliness was poor, and there was an odor of urine. The kitchen tap was leaking, making sleep nearly impossible. The kettle was broken, and the counter was sagging. Pots, pans, and dishes were greasy and dirty; the kitchen was certainly not in a state where one could prepare or eat a meal. A fan in the building opposite our second-floor room (B2) ran all night; because the windows were old and made of wood, the noise came straight through, preventing us from sleeping. The heating only worked on the first night; the rooms were freezing cold for the remaining two nights. The hotel's only advantage is its location; we chose to stay here after being misled by positive reviews. We do not recommend it to anyone.
