    Nice cottage in a good location

    The cottage was clean and it was well placed for visiting other parts of the island. The bed linen was clean and nice, and the kitchen had pretty much all the utensils we needed for cooking. There was a lovely view of the pond, where the kids enjoyed watching the ducks, turtles, fish and a heron.

    The sofas and carpets have seen better days. The mattresses were also too soft for our liking, so we didn’t sleep very comfortably.

    The location is lovely, the cottage has so much potential but need some love and renovation. The place is ok if you don't need to cook much and if you only sleep there as the rooms upstairs are fine and the beds comfortable.

    The kitchen needs renovation and a deep clean. The carpet also needs cleaning. The smell downstairs is not pleasant.

    A lovely place to stay

    The hosts are lovely and let us check in early. The road the cottage is on is perfect, opposite a lovely pond with ducks, a resident heron and lush trees and foliage. The house was lovely and cool on hot days, especually downstairs. Ventnor is a gteat seaside town

    There was a dirty cake tin in the oven that had not been washed so maybe that needs to be chevked for future. We had to pick up key ffrom hotel about 20 mins walk from property which could have been problematic if we werent able to arrange a taxi and that can be challenging in Ventnor but the pros definitely outweighed the cons with this property
