  Nice decor,great view, absolutely ruined our stay as the cleanliness and maintenance was disgraceful

  Quirky decor and layout,with great view

  Cleanliness and hygiene extremely poor, lights not working,damage to areas not very well maintained. Damp/mold painted over. All in areas that isn’t shown in photos. Spent part of our stay cleaning so we was able to use kitchen and bathrooms, blocked sinks,filthy dishwasher with awful smell. And cooker that hadn’t been cleaned for months, washing machine awful smell,so didn’t use any of these. Lock broken on one of bathroom doors, only allows me to load 4 photos,have plenty more of issues and the accommodation just filthy upon our arrival. Was covered to have cleaners in and maintenance team,however this should have all been checked before our arrival and we was not comfortable with people coming in when our family was out etc. looked for alternative accommodation but nothing was available. Travelled 8 hours for our family holiday and feel it was not worth it because of the conditions. Most definitely not worth the money we paid because of this. Had messages through booking.com from the property from 2 different names and a neighbour from the property threaten to call the owner Richard as she’s a friend and only she can park in the disabled parking on the street,even though I have a blue badge. Straight away said I’d move my car,no issue but she was rude and abrupt repeatedly saying she will get Richard to come down as he lives down the road and is her friend.(absolutely no need for it) over all me and my family didn’t enjoy the accommodations because of the state it was let to us. And didn’t settle properly at all because it was dirty and grimy. In it for the money I believe,quick turn around of guests. Not value for money in my opinion

  An impressive, quirky and interesting place to stay

  We arrived earlier than expected and were pleasantly surprised to be allowed an early check‑in. Communication with the host was excellent, and the house had a quirky charm that was truly impressive.”

  There were a few small maintenance issues, such as the dishwasher and lounge fan not working. The host did offer to have the dishwasher repaired during our stay. Instructions for the cooktop would also have been helpful, as it took us some time to figure it out.
