Overall an enjoyable Cornwall break, good location, friendly staff ok accommodation.
Great location near to the harbour. The food at the restaurant was good, breakfast in particular however we did feel the choices were limited. The main hotel was spacious and the staff friendly.
We had a room separate to the main building, it was a house obviously converted into rooms. Our biggest gripe was our room, a very small double bed and a cramped bathroom that was frustratingly small that was like a closet converted, horrible. The shower was lacking pressure and the tiling was poor, it wasn’t to the standard we expected. No air con so in the summer it would be unbearable, there was a portable fan that helped. A minor gripe there was no card to put on the outside door knob for sleeping/ entering so the maids could just enter? The shower didn’t work until we were told the pull cord next to it turned the power on, we thought it was for emergencies, seriously why couldn’t they simple add a label ‘shower’

Great location, staff and food, but terrible car park if you’re on a motorcycle
Great location, friendly staff (more on Tom later), good menu and fabulous breakfast; great ingredients.
As a motorcyclist, the cobbled car park is an absolute nightmare. I spoke with Tom who “got it” and allowed me to park near the back of the pub, close to the “turning circle” for the nearby houses. I understand the car park is listed, so nothing can be done, but it’s not just the fact it’s cobbled, it’s very deep and uneven for 2 wheelers! Dangerous frankly, but Tom saved the day 👍🏽
