Gorgeous lodge in a perfect location

The lodge was so wonderful - comfy, clean and spacious within a stunning location. It had everything we needed for our 5 day stay, kitchen well equipped, spacious bathroom and comfy sofa to look out onto nature. Although we hired a car, we didn't use it once we arrived as the lodge is located perfectly for lots of tracks and trails for walks and amenities. Hinterzarten with restaurants and shops is only 2.5k walk, albeit up a hill - but that worked well for us. We recommend walking up the gorge to the self-service ice cream and drinks hut too! Some lovely recommendations from the owners who were really welcoming.
