    Spend time on the verandah!!

    What a stunning place to while away the time. We used Redtail Cottages (Cockatoo Cottage) as the base for our travels in and around Bridgetown. After spending time driving or walking around all day, spending time sitting outside on the veranday or Cockatoo Cottage and watching the movements of the wildlife around the lake was awesome. Rabbits, ducks, parrots and all manner of other birdlife inhabit the area. Then you have the alpaca/llama (sorry, don't know which they were), sheep and emu in the paddocks around. I spent many hours each day with a quiet drink just taking in the fantastic scenery!

    Lounge seats a little low and breakfast bar stools a little high, but I'm old so it's a bit difficult to get seats that are "just right".

    Room with a view

    Absolutely loved our stay at Cockatoo cottage at Redtail Cottages, the cottage was lovely, cozy and beds were comfortable. We were lucky to see two Alpaca babies born and the lovely owners let us in to hold the baby. The cottage had everything we needed for our stay.
