  Convenient location and responsive host, but several issues affected our comfort.

  Located in a residential neighbourhood close to the airport, which was walkable in about 30 minutes. The coffee machine was a nice touch and worked well. The host was responsive and accommodating, and allowed us to check in early. The layout worked well for our group of six, with one double bed and four twin beds across three bedrooms, all with terrace access. The large dining table was also great for having meals together.

  There were 4 things that bothered me the most during our stay: 1. The shower was very difficult to use without getting water all over the floor. The shower head would not stay in place and the holder was mounted so high that it was difficult to reach, especially for shorter guests. There was also nowhere to put toiletries in the shower other than on the floor. 2. There was no practical way to dry clothes indoors, which was particularly inconvenient given how wet and humid the weather tends to be on the island. When we asked about a drying rack, the options we were given were either to hang our clothes outside (it rained practically every day we were there) or to use a laundromat a 7-minute drive away. The simplest and least burdensome solution for guests would have been to provide a drying rack, but unfortunately this was not offered even after we asked. 3. The humidity was also noticeable inside the house. The bed linens, towels, seat cushions and couch all had a noticeable mildew smell. The constant feeling of dampness affected our comfort, particularly when sleeping. There was one fan provided, but having additional fans or, ideally, a dehumidifier would have made a significant difference. 4. The Wi-Fi was very unreliable throughout our stay. Since the network was open and didn’t require a password, anyone within range could connect and use up bandwidth. This is also a security concern. Simply adding a password would make the network more secure and potentially improve connection reliability.
