Die kleine Wohnung mit dem Schlafzimmer mit Doppelbett und dem sehr kleinen zweiten Zimmer liegt mitten in Varazze – zentraler geht’s kaum. Gleich nebenan duftet es morgens aus der Bäckerei, und ein charmantes Café lädt zum ersten Capuccino ein. Dazu gibt’s kleine Läden, aber es ist nun nicht wirklich ein Shopping-Paradies. Unser Auto stand auf einem kostenlosen Parkplatz hinter der Häuserzeile – und blieb dort auch. Braucht man nämlich gar nicht: Alles ist bequem zu Fuß erreichbar. Das Meer? Eine Minute entfernt, vielleicht zwei, wenn man unterwegs ein Gelato entdeckt. Wir waren im Oktober dort – zwei Strandbars hatten noch offen, Liegestühle konnten wir für 10 Euro pro Person mieten. Es war angenehm ruhig, aber trotzdem bekommt man alles, was man wirklich braucht. Gekocht haben wir nicht in der Wohnung, aber es hat eine Espresso-Kapsel-Maschine dort, wir haben für uns Kapseln gekauft. Und die Mikrowelle haben wir auch gebraucht. Ansonsten haben wir uns auswärts verpflegt.
