The longer I stayed the more I liked it. Outdated but very clean and comfortable.
Location is excellent. This grand old lady is a little dated but that turns into charm when you see the size of the rooms and classic bathrooms. It takes an efficient team to maintain this beauty and adds to its quirky nature. The beds and pillows are the softest I have ever experienced and the cleanliness helps keep this lady shining. No complaints about the pool and gym area again being well maintained. Good value for money. Great laundry facilities as well.
It would be nice to have a cafe or small lounge with bar area. It looks like it use to have one. The Indian restaurant attached is unappealing and to get coffee or breakfast you need to walk down the block. No security chain on door. This could be disastrous with children. Some rooms have them , others don’t and when I questioned it the response was a bit disappointing as I was told none of the rooms have them but the other room I booked did so I swapped with my daughter who had young children. You can see where the chain was on the door so not sure how hard it would be to replace. It also meant housekeeping walked in on my partner. Lucky he had his pants on. 🤣
