Disappointing Experience – Relaxation Made Impossible by an Unannounced Wedding Celebration
We deliberately chose Dalco Suites in Limone for a relaxing stay and were particularly looking forward to enjoying the pool, the restaurant, and the peaceful atmosphere of a 4-star property. However, upon arrival, we discovered that a wedding celebration was taking place on the premises, something we had not been informed about beforehand. From the moment we checked in, both the pool and the restaurant were unavailable to hotel guests. What made matters particularly frustrating was that both our bedroom and our private pool directly overlooked the event area. The celebration was scheduled to continue until 1 a.m. Under these circumstances, the peace and relaxation we had planned were simply out of the question. As an alternative, we were offered accommodation at a significantly cheaper 3-star hotel. However, this was neither comparable to the category we had booked nor in line with our expectations. We therefore decided to leave without using the room and requested a cancellation free of charge. However, the property refused our request, despite the fact that essential aspects of our booked stay were not available as expected. Beyond the considerable restrictions themselves, what disappointed us most was the way our situation was handled. Rather than showing any understanding that the relaxing stay we had booked was simply not possible under these circumstances, we found the communication unhelpful and the proposed solution inadequate. We never had the impression that there was any genuine effort to find a fair solution for both parties. The fact that even a cancellation free of charge was refused, despite us not having used the room at all, reflects what we consider to be a deeply disappointing approach to hospitality and customer service. What we find particularly difficult to understand is why an event of this scale, with such significant consequences for other guests, apparently did not warrant informing them in advance.

We loved it!
A nice hotel with a beautiful view! Breakfast was great. The hotel also offers dinners, which was convenient after a long flight. I'd like to come back!

Almost perfect
The gardener made a lot of noise with his leaf blower every morning at breakfast, ruining the peaceful atmosphere.
