Better go elsewhere
I booked a three-week extended business stay at the Residence Inn Dallas Las Colinas, but the experience and management responsiveness have been completely unacceptable. Broken Door Lock & Lockout: The electronic door lock glitched all week and completely failed, leaving me locked outside in the Texas heat after work. When maintenance arrived, the technician showed me an upward-handle workaround and explicitly confirmed that the lock was broken, that management was already fully aware of the issue, and that it was never fixed before checking me in. Ignored Requests & Complete Silence from Management: I explicitly requested a room change in person at the front desk 4–5 hours ago after being locked out. Then I followed up with a detailed email directly to the General Manager, Assistant General Manager, and Guest Experience Manager requesting an immediate room move. Hours later, there has been absolute radio silence and zero response. Dead Room Phone: The landline phone in the room has no programmed extensions—no way to reach the front desk or guest services. I reported this to the front desk, they promised to resolve it, and nothing was ever done. A/C & Appliance Failures: The refrigerator ice maker was non-functional on check-in day. The A/C initially failed to cool, and after a service visit, it still struggles to keep up and emits loud, jarring kicking noises throughout the night that wake me up. Knowingly assigning a long-term corporate traveler to a room with pre-existing access defects, a dead phone line, and failing A/C—and then completely ignoring direct escalation emails from the guest, is terrible service. I strongly advise business travelers and extended-stay guests to look elsewhere.
