    Comfortable and clean

    I had a lovely room overlooking the river walk. My king size bed was exceptionally comfortable. I don’t eat breakfast but it looked like it offered a good selection. The hotel common areas and rooms were very clean.

    Good but . . .

    I liked a lot of things about this hotel including the location, spacious rooms with very high ceilings and most of the staff except the one who checked me in who bordered on unpleasant. Priscilla and others were great. I was not impressed with showering in the evening of my first night to find no shampoo and two of the three bath towels were wet and previously used. YUCK! Big turn off. This was quickly rectified but still unacceptable especially at the price I paid for the room. Agree with many about the breakfast buffet. Much less than many other Residence Inns. Perhaps these are recent cutbacks as reviews from Oct 2025 allude to egg white frittata and fresh fruit, both of which were nowhere to be found. With so many wonderful options in the immediate area, I'm not sure I would stay here again and I am usually loyal to Marriott.

    Great location, friendly staff!

    Stayed for a weekend and the location couldn't be beat. It is walkable to all the downtown events and right by the Third Ward, which made getting around effortless. Our room on the 8th floor was spacious and spotless, and check-in was smooth thanks to friendly, informative front desk staff. The only downsides were a running toilet and a shower that took a while to heat up-nothing that ruined the stay, but worth a mention for maintenance. Overall a comfortable stay and would gladly book again given the location and service.
