    Total disappointment...felt like a bait-and-switch.

    The person who met us with the keys was very friendly and helpful. The room was clean, modern and well appointed and there was plenty of room for our family of three. They had several bikes with locks and helmets to ride to town on which was nice, and the sun deck / bbq area is really lovely. They have two hot tubs that they keep cool in the summer for taking a dip which was nice.

    This is where I need to vent because I selected this property based on the stellar reviews and the photos of the property, so I'm not sure how we got this so wrong. My BIGGEST complaint was that this 'standard apartment' that we paid $300USD per night for was on the ground floor facing a block wall and the street, several garbage cans and the property owner's parked motorcycle. It was dark, there was no air flow, and it smelled damp and moldy. They also didn't provide toilet paper which I thought was pretty ridiculous. Apparently there are two other units with ocean views - the 'apartment' (not the standard apartment we had) and the deluxe apartment. That's what we thought we were getting! They also nickel and dime you with the linen fees and the cleaning fees.
