Very good accommodation undermined by an unacceptable invoice ordeal

The apartment and location were very good, and we enjoyed the stay enough to extend it for an additional night.

Unfortunately, the handling of a straightforward business invoice was unacceptable. I requested the invoice during the stay, supplied the complete company details and received written confirmation that it would be provided on departure. At checkout, I was then told that invoicing the initial part of the stay was “impossible” because their accounting had already been closed. After repeated calls, I had to send a detailed formal complaint to the group’s management. Only then did they cancel the previous document and issue the correct invoice—proving that a solution had been available all along. The matter was ultimately resolved, but obtaining a routine invoice should never require this level of confrontation and unnecessary stress. It completely spoiled our final impression of an otherwise very good stay.
