    Boutique heritage hotel above an Italian restaurant

    Villa Barrio is primarily a restaurant with 5 rooms above in a wonderful old building previously the offices of the prime minister. It's a heritage building with amazing ground floor , the rooms are upstairs in the staff quarters. This means the windows are small and the access is difficult. Very handy supermarket next door. Very close to the art museums.

    The access is up twisting wooden stairs, the room windows are high and small. The new air-conditioning leaked water all night , we had to mop up and find a bucket. There was a kettle provided but paltry tea and coffee supplies. The restaurant below operates till midnight so there's some noise.

    The room was an attic room. Lots of stairs and places to bang your head
