    A cosy hideaway in a beautiful town

    A third floor apartment overlooking a tiny square in the old part of town, quiet, cosy and picturesque. The facilities were functional, just enough cutlery and crockery for two people and the space was also adequate. The apartment looked to have just been fitted out, everything felt brand new. Breakfast was available at the pasticceria in the little square which the apartment overlooked. There was a good variety of excellent pastries or a toasted cheese and ham sandwich as a savoury alternative. Coffee and orange juice also available. The cafe served as the apartment's reception desk where the keys were to be picked up and check-in took place. Staff were friendly and helpful. There was a lift for easy access to our floor. The city centre was just around the corner but you would never realise it as the little square was such a peaceful haven, a genuine hideaway.

    A corkscrew in the sparse cutlery drawer would have been useful. The place was difficult to find, it is really tucked away. The address on the booking confirmation was not the actual location of the apartment ; even the taxi driver didn't recognise it. The accompanying map and directions need to be made clearer.
