  Disappointing room cleanliness and lack of attention to detail

  I liked the location on the boardwalk.

  I was disappointed with the condition of our room at Resorts Casino Hotel in Atlantic City. While the room was dated, the bigger concern was the overall lack of cleanliness. The curtains, bed skirt, and walls were visibly dirty. More concerning, we found a sewing needle on the floor next to the bed, which could have caused an injury if someone had stepped on it barefoot. We also discovered a French fry on the box spring near the headboard. These are things that should have been noticed and addressed during housekeeping. I don’t expect every hotel room to be newly renovated, but I do expect it to be thoroughly cleaned and properly maintained. There is a difference between a room being outdated and one that simply hasn’t received adequate attention to cleanliness. Resorts really needs to improve its housekeeping standards and pay closer attention to detail. Unfortunately, the condition of the room took away from what should have been an enjoyable stay.

  It had a good location, a good bed, and good staff, but it had a couple problems that I fixed.

  The location is next to the boardwalk and the ocean views, which is the best part of Atlantic City in my opinion. I paid slightly less than the other hotels I was considering. The staff answered all my questions right away. The bed was about as good as my bed at home.

  I had to kill two flies that were flying around my room as soon as I entered, so I was concerned about how they got there. The toilet was partially clogged when I arrived. By plain luck, the pipes cleared after flushing, waiting a few minutes for the water to go down slowly, and then flushing again. The whole casino smells terrible like cigarette smoke.

  The room was nice. It was clean the bed was comfortable. Nice view and good location.

  We did not realize they still smoke inside the main areas. The venue we went to one street over also has an associated hotel and the property is non smoking. We would've just stayed there is we had known. The smoke in the main areas was thick and made it hard to breathe, I have asthma. Also, the restaurants were not as nice as other properties.

  Not enough towels
