It feels like home
This riad made me feel at home. The attentive service, the beautiful location. The atmosphere filled with the authentic soul of Fez. The breakfast was particularly special for me because it reminded me of slow mornings at my grandma's house. Also the view from the terrace which was simply exceptional. I recommend it.

The price is unmatchable. It is very cheap but it comes with a costs. The man responsible for the place was kind even we did not speak the same language (he speaks french and I do not) and offered me another room when I asked for a towel (he thought I was complaining about the shower) which I did not take since I was about to leave the other in the morning.
The place is in the very north of Medina which means it is no centric. Unfortunately it looks a poorer area and for some people can feel not safe in this area. It is true it depends everyones background and I don't wanna label people from there which is not right. During the night it can be a bit scary compare to the center of Medina but during the day it is Ok. I've talked with some guys in this area and they were very friendly, apart some kids and young guys helped me find the place. The place itself looks nicer in the pictures. My room has a very low ceiling so I could not extend my arms up above my head (I am 1,66cm tall) and the cleaning was not that good but was not that critical. The shower drain was blocked. I cleared the hair out of the drain, but the water flow was still weaker than usual, which made me think the pipes needed cleaning. Again, for the price you can expected it.
