It was OK.
The location was very good.
The dirty unswept alleyway with tins of cat food and bins. No welcoming lights at the door at night or any pretty pot plants, very scruffy not what I’d expect from a 4* property. We arrived and sat on a dirty white sofa which had foot prints on it whilst we filled in our paperwork. We’d been collected from outside El Bacha and our bags were loaded onto a cart which was not the riad’s cart. We were then expected to pay the cart man when we could easily have taken the bags ourselves OR the hotel concierge could have paid him which is what we’d been used to at other properties there. We were told not to drink the tap water (obviously) but two bottles of water were provided in unsealed bottles with loose lids on which made us nervous. There was no lock on the door. We had to request a lock and were given a padlock so we could lock our room when we were out. The toiletries were far beneath anything 4*. Refilled dirty plastic pumps by the sink. The staff were very nice and keen to show us the new part of the Riad. Everything in the old part where we were staying definitely needed an upgrade, repaint and a good designer to pick some nice Moroccan pieces to make it more comfortable and homely with softer lighting etc. It could have very easily have been better.

The location was perfect, everyone was very helpful. The room was very spacious, the bed and pillows were very comfortable. The hamam was under refurb, and the wifi had some connection issues, the breakfast was simple however overall experience was very nice, would recommend.

Stunning riad, amazing location but the staff were wonderful. We arrived late and they were so helpful and welcoming. They made us feel like it was a home and not just a hotel. Also really helpful throughout the whole trip! Would definitely recommend to anyone staying in Marrakech
