Charming inn.
Beautiful peaceful lodging on the Thames.
Light in bathroom didn’t work properly.

Great potential but needs refining.
Lovely properly great decor and awesome concept. Liked the honesty bar.
The staff were lovely but clueless and didn’t know what they were doing. They didn’t have milk in for breakfast and it was really unclear how to utilise the hotel in the way they wanted you to. I discovered myself that there was a sauna, access to the river which would have been nice to learn about upon check in. It’s a shame as there’s a lot on offer but I felt a bit lost.

Very disappointing.
The 2 (very new) staff that we met were very friendly and welcoming. Lovely bright room with a wonderful view.
There was nobody in the house to check us in when we arrived. We rang the 'emergency number' that was in the e-mail and also on the desk, however the phone had been left on the desk, therefore nobody in the house to answer it. We saw somebody cleaning seats outside and went to get him. There were no tea/coffee making facilities in the room, they were in a communal 'kitchen' downstairs, which made this feel more like a hostel. However, there was no milk there for hot drinks, which we did mention to the staff later that evening. When we went to make coffee the next morning, there was hardly any milk available, only enough to have half a cup of coffee. Dead moth on window sill in bedroom. There was only 1 bedside table therefore only 1 bedside light. The next morning, just prior to departure, we found, in a drawer with some magazines, a piece of very flimsy paper with the QR code for fire action. Not sure how you're supposed to know that's in the drawer or how you're supposed to find it in the dark if there's a fire and all the lights are out. Not sure how they managed to pass any fire regulations with that! As we found out while we were staying there, they're trying to make this a wellness hotel. I would expect in that situation people are perhaps going to want to have a digital detox, in which case they won't have a phone to access the QR code. Also, you shouldn't just assume everybody has a phone/smartphone, as this is not always the case.
