Have ensuits rooms etc but the double bedroom for 2 is too small to sleep for 2
It’s beneficial to us as closer to the York hospitium for the venue, also few miniutes walk to the station
Parking is very tight to live around and hard to park big sub vehicles as xX3 with the big ramp on, the beds are not suitable fit 2 adults

The cooker didn’t work so can not really do food it’s ok as a base if you go out
Loved the outside and the bathrooms for each room
Carpet on the second floor was a little untidy and had a few sharp bits underneath showing

Best place to stay
Schönes großes Haus mit viel Platz, Blick auf den Fluss, nahe zur Kathedrale, kurzer Weg zum Bahnhof. Great house, perfect location!

Disastrous from start to finish
The location is pretty good. Walking distance from all the main attractions.
Well, first of all, the place wasn't clean. Pubic hairs in bedsheets and shower... kitchen appliances not very clean either and glasses, cups etc in cupboards were dirty. There was no soap, shampoo etc in the bathrooms, no condiments in the kitchen. Even things like salt, pepper etc. were in a cupboard marked "Do not use". I guess the £2000 we paid for our stay did not entitle us to a few grains of salt. The stairs to the top bedrooms are very steep. My son had a nasty fall on our first day there and injured his foot. I don't think anyone under 18 or over 60 can use that top floor (and others use at your own peril). This is assuming the disgusting smell emanating from the bathroom drains on that floor is not enough to put you off. But probably the worst thing is that there was no electricity for our first night there. We called the emergency helpline, they told us to ask the neighbours for help. The neighbours were really nice and gave us a battery-operated lamp that lasted us for 3 hours. After that we were on our own, in the dark. Messages to the property managers went unanswered (of course).
