    We had the most wonderful short break away! The accommodation was perfect with truly wonderful staff and delicious food!

    A little Gem!!!

    Everything!! The olde worlde ambiance….the fact that everything was homegrown…homebaked and organic. The lodge accommodation was just perfect and the staff (especially George) were so friendly.

    French toast with poached peach summed up the salty

    Clean, very modern, heated bathroom floors, very cosy. The peach French toast is soo good! Was perfect. But also the little touches such as home made flapjacks in the room and very attentive staff who reheated my left over lunch even though arrived quite late and wanted a shower quickly before eating. She was very kind waiting for me

    Fantastic two-night stay with walks out the door

    Fantastic two-night stay as part of a short road tour through the area. Really enjoyed the green setting, dog-friendly spaces, the good food and overall relaxed ambiance of the place. Highly recommend the nearby walks.

    The garden rooms have very low doors; key part of the design, so watch out for bangs and scratches.

    Wonderful food and walks in an interesting corner of England, excellent staff and spa

    Beautiful spot by a river and with several interesting circular walks locally. Excellent high quality food, highly recommend eating there. We couldn’t have been looked after better by George and his team. Very comfortable rooms and we used the spa facilities on top of the gardens, great views and a delightful time.
