    Very high cleaning fees, uncomfortable couch bed

    This apartment has a lot of charm and character, and we really enjoyed some of the details and overall atmosphere of the space. It’s a nice option if you’re looking for somewhere with a more charming, local feel rather than a typical hotel. A couple of things are worth knowing before booking, though. The listing says there are two beds, but it is actually one regular bed and a sofa that pulls out into a bed. The pull-out sofa was extremely uncomfortable, so I would personally consider this apartment much better suited for two people rather than four. Also, just be aware of the additional costs. In addition to the tourist tax, there is a cleaning fee of over €120, on top of the other booking fees. None of these are necessarily a problem if you know about them going in, but the total can add up quite a bit beyond the advertised nightly price. Overall, the apartment itself is charming and has some really nice qualities. I just recommend reading the listing and breakdown of fees carefully and keeping the sleeping arrangements in mind, especially if you’re considering staying with four people. Just sharing our experience so future guests know exactly what they’re signing up for.
