  Very Disappointing Stay – Not Worth the Price

  Our experience was disappointing from the very beginning. Despite having paid for the entire reservation through Booking.com,the host refused to let us into the room until we paid the tourist tax upfront for the whole stay. We were happy to pay it, but the way the situation was handled was extremely unpleasant and unprofessional. Communication was poor, and check-in was conducted over a phone call instead of providing all the necessary instructions in one clear message. I also heard that other guests had been subjected to the same process in the middle of the night, which is simply unacceptable. The accommodation itself was far below expectations. The furniture was old and worn, the bathroom was dirty and smelled strongly of urine, and there were someone else’s hairs on the towel. The mattress underneath the top one was visibly dirty. There was also water in a glass bottle in the fridge, with no indication of when or how it had been filled. There were no proper glasses or mugs, only two small plastic cups, and no kettle. The internet connection was poor, while the TV was so tiny it seemed to be there just to tick a box on the list of advertised amenities. For this price, the standard of cleanliness, facilities and overall service was unacceptable. Having visited Rome several times, I know what to expect from accommodation in this location and price range. This stay fell well below those expectations. I would not recommend this place. Poor communication, an unnecessarily complicated check-in, questionable hygiene and inadequate amenities made this stay a very disappointing experience and certainly not worth the money.

  AC saved us from hot weather! Mini fridge was a plus, but we had to turn it off during the night because it was too loud. Great location! Metro was close.

  First of all, the window frame was broken, and sound isolation was non existent - we heared everything happening on the street. Toilet flush button was broken. Shower handle did not work properly (water did not come out sometimes). Overall, it seemed that owners dont really care about room quality. No any kitchen equipment, only 2 plastic cups. Instructions to get into the apartment were not provided on time, we had to wait 10 minutes in pouring rain! And the owner did not prepare guidelines in writing.
