  Comfy room but difficult communication

  Very clean and comfy room.

  The place was fine and comfortable, but the main issue was communication with the owner. It was almost impossible to reach them, which made things very difficult. I had an accident myself on the bus I was from the airport and the road was closed 2 hours so our arrival time changed, and we wanted to let the owner know that, because of the delay, we would go straight to the city centre first and then come to the property later that evening, around 10–11 pm. However, there was no phone number available to contact the owner directly. Also, this is not a self-check-in property, as the owner needs to be there in person to open the door for you, which makes communication even more important. We also accidentally left a jacket behind that belonged to my dad’s friend of 40 years, so it has great sentimental value. We tried to contact the owner because we were planning to come back from Split to collect it, but again, it was impossible to get in touch. You have to contact Booking.com, who then have to contact the owner on your behalf. I contacted Booking.com 5–6 times and even asked if they could please share the owner’s phone number so I can conuthem myself but I was told that the owner does not share their number with Booking.com and that I would have to wait for them to get back to me. However, nobody ever got back to me, and I am still waiting. Overall, the place itself was fine but the lack of direct communication with the owner was a significant issue. 😅

  - Very clean and bed was super comfortable - 20mins walking to old town: yes, it is tiring coming back as there are a lot of stairs but we are still close enough to not depend on uber or bus and save some money. So for us the location was also good.

  Estancia fabulosa!

  La dueña de la casa es encantadora!! Cuando llegamos nos recibió muy amablemente, nos enseñó un mapa de la ciudad y nos recomendó sitios, autobuses, etc. Ha estado muy atenta con nosotros y la habitación fue fantástica! Espaciosa, con gran capacidad de almacenaje en el armario, con nevera, y baño privado. Además dispone de una terraza que se disfruta mucho en un sitio tan tranquilo.

  Hay que tener en cuenta que la ubicación es más lejana del Old Town de la ciudad, y son todo cuestas empinadas hacia arriba, pero justo hay un autobús que te sube o baja desde Pile Gate a la casa y viceversa, así que genial!!
