Country feeling in the city
It was close to Park and Ride making it easy to get into York on public transport. Very comfortable lodge and reasonable quite, except for the nearby train line but not really an issue. Problem with no key for lodge was quickly resolved by person arriving with spare despite being off-duty.

Fabulous week in peaceful and beautiful setting but close to York centre and major routes.
Proximity to York, with excellent bus service and nearby large supermarket. There was everything you need in the lodge. Beautiful tranquil Lakeside location and walks.
