  Het uitzicht vanuit de slaapkamer en huiskamer. En de gastvrijheid. De wandeling was ontzettend leuk met Dede. Putu en Ria en hun familie zijn ontzettend aardige en lieve mensen.

  Er staat nergens een melding dat de bewoners ook je buren zijn die gebruik maken van jouw verblijfsruimte. Zoals bv de wasmachine en over je terras moeten om deze was op te hangen. Als er gasten zijn die komen eten na een wandeling en ze kijken over de reling naar het prachtige uitzicht, kijken ze ook op jou als je bij het zwembad ligt.

  Une villa confortable et une magnifique rencontre balinaise

  Absolument tout Villa propre, spacieuse et très agréable, avec une petite piscine parfaite pour se rafraîchir en famille. Mais surtout, ce que nous retiendrons de ce séjour, c’est la magnifique rencontre avec une famille balinaise aux petits soins pour nous. Ria est une super cuisinière : elle nous a régalés avec de délicieux plats balinais, toujours avec une bonne humeur communicative. Suri a été adorable et attentionnée avec toute la famille. Elle propose également des massages, et nos enfants l’ont tout simplement trouvée géniale ! 😊 Putu et Dede ont, quant à eux, partagé avec nous leur culture et leur gentillesse, ce qui a rendu notre séjour encore plus authentique et chaleureux. Toute la famille a adoré cette expérience. Nous reviendrons sans hésiter si nous avons la chance de retourner à Bali !

  A Heartwarming Stay at Rumah Riang — True Balinese Hospitality!

  When we first arrived, the entrance looked a little different from the photos online, but the moment we stepped inside, we were welcomed into a beautiful home. Everything you could possibly need is there. The living room is spacious, with a lovely covered terrace and a wonderful swimming pool to relax by. The bedrooms are also large and equipped with good air conditioning — perfect after a warm day exploring. But the most special thing about Rumah Riang is without a doubt the incredible hospitality of Putu, Ria, and their family. From the very beginning, they made us feel completely at home. Although there’s a well-equipped kitchen, Ria prepares the most delicious Balinese meals — both lunch and dinner. She’s a fantastic cook, and nothing is ever too much for them. Every meal was different and full of authentic local flavors and made with so much love and care. During our stay, we also joined The Mayong Cultural Walk, which is an absolute must-do! Putu takes you on a fascinating journey through the rice fields of the Mayong Valley, passionately explaining everything that grows there — not just rice, but also durian, palm trees, and the intricate irrigation systems that make Balinese agriculture so special. His deep knowledge of plants, farming, and local culture is impressive, and the way he shares it — full of humor, energy, and great storytelling — makes the walk both fun and educational. He also loves to connect local words and traditions to other languages and cultures, which we Dutch visitors found especially engaging! After the walk, we were treated to another delicious homemade lunch prepared by Ria — authentic Balinese flavors at their very best. We stayed at Rumah Riang for two nights and got a beautiful glimpse into the life of a local Balinese family — full of kindness, warmth, and hospitality. It’s an experience we will never forget.
