Special spot in the heart of the lakes district

Amazing historic property in an excellent location. Close to walks and a pub across the road. Iain was a great host, provided lots of helpful advice on local walks. Wonderful cooked breakfast.

Facilities and rooms could do with a bit of an upgrade.

We contacted the host as we were arriving late, which was fine. We were upgraded to a nicer room as the landlord had a problem with the room we had booked. We arranged breakfast, which was pleasant. We were able to pop over the road to the Badger pub and see the badgers feeding, and get some close up photos.

We only stayed 2 nights and didn't get to explore too much, will have to stay for longer next time!

    Extremely disappointing

Period property in a fantastic location

The potential screams at you as you enter via the side door on the main road but its nothing like the photos you view to book
