Bad experience with SaffronStays
Collection of antique items
The way property and the way stay was managed. Reality is way different than what is shown in pics. Apart from the antique items, there is nothing good about the property - approachability (last 2 kms has lot of pot holes), swimming pool is not maintained, local cuisine - ok but don’t try Chinese or Notth Indian and staff needs 2-3 reminders for everything. Overall, a very bad experience with SaffronStay. The brand was known for premium stay and experience but this experience proved that SaffronStay is no way better than any travel & hotel booking portals.

AVOID AT ANY COST!
Chef Karuna's food was excellent. Everything she made was just too good. The WiFi is fairly good, and each room has a separate router for good connectivity. The decor, though definitely not "Peshwaai", is decent. Good woodwork and some very elegant vintage design elements. The artificial flowers destroy the ambience, though. Better to dispense them.
1. The approach road is atrocious. It is beyond any description. To be honest, there is just no road, only hills and craters. Our Mercedes C Class underwent its worst ever road trauma. Shouldn't guests be informed about this issue? 2A. We reached at 2 pm (an hour later than the published official check-in time) and the place was still being cleaned. The entire house had a musty smell that refused to go away for our entire stay. Karuna's kindness and her infectious smile saved the day. 2B. The entrance area had plastic bottles and bags strewn all over. Terribly disappointing. 3. One of our group members tried to draw the window curtain and the rod just fell down. Thankfully, she was unhurt. Curtain rods in other rooms were also precariously positioned. The bed made such a bad squeaky sound that she and her husband had to change the room. 4. Another group member's bedsheet had a blood stain. My own pillow had a blood stain. 5. There are stray CATS all over. While I don't have any issues (I love cats), my wife has asthma that gets aggravated by cat fur. Two other group members had a similar concern. I literally had to lift the cats and put them out every hour or so. 6. In the lobby where you sit for meals and just general chit chat, the two or three AC REMOTES ARE WIRED TO THE ROOF! We had to use long sticks to switch the ACs on. The AC on the opposite side of the dining table was stuck at 26⁰C. We just could not change it with even a long stick. It is beyond laughable at a time when Karjat is extremely humid. 7. While booking I was told that the caretaker or property manager will call me 48 hours in advance for meal preferences and other details. No one called until I called Saffronstays helpline the night before the check-in and even then, the caretaker Divyam's phone was SWITCHED OFF! Anyway, Divyam called and sent me the details at around 9 pm. 8. The kitchen sink had utensils piled up to the brim.

Beatiful, unique, comfortable, inviting, delicious food, rustic charm enthused family getaway
SaffronStays Peshwaai is as exquisite as it gets. The villa is located in a picturesque area of Karjat, surrounded by lush greenery. There is plenty of outdoor space to relax and enjoy nature with your favorite drink, especially by the pool next to a cozy bonfire. Inside, the villa features antique furniture and a beautifully designed central courtyard. Our evening began with a Ganapati pooja and aarti, which added a special touch to the rustic atmosphere. My family enjoyed quality time in the courtyard, creating a unique sense of togetherness. Each of our bedrooms was distinct, featuring large beds and matching furniture that exuded the royal charm of the Peshwas. The washrooms were spotless, equipped with all the necessary toiletries and running hot water. I particularly enjoyed the food and appreciated the attention to detail provided by the cook and her assistants. They ensured that all our requests were met, leaving us completely satisfied. The meals were prepared as requested, homemade, with minimal oil and spices. The caretaker was attentive throughout our stay, promptly addressing any needs that arose. The kitchen was impeccably clean and well-organized. Before they left, the kitchen staff neatly arranged the dishes and stored leftover food properly. The views were fantastic, and the interior felt wonderfully cozy. Overall, my entire family (nine people) thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Peshwaai and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a delightful experience with delicious food, excellent hospitality, and courteous staff dedicated to ensuring a fulfilling stay.
Although this is not part of the property, the access road to the villa requires significant improvements to prevent guests from experiencing breakdowns or flat tires.
