A wonderful stay made truly special by the people ♥️
I stayed at Sala Siem Reap as a solo woman traveller, and what made this experience memorable wasn’t just the lovely hotel, comfortable room or excellent location, but the genuinely wonderful people who made me feel so welcome throughout my stay. A special mention to Kimsong at the front desk, who was exceptionally warm, attentive and helpful. From the little things to the bigger questions, she made everything feel easy and effortless. The other Kim, also at the front desk, was equally lovely, always welcoming and ready to help with a smile. And Theara at the restaurant deserves a special shoutout too. The warmth, conversations and thoughtful service made even the simplest moments feel special. She was so excited to receive me for breakfast every morning and even on the days I was lazy, I’d show up for her and thereby I had a meal sorted for the day. Grateful. Travelling alone can sometimes mean spending a lot of time in your own company, but these lovely people never once made me feel lonely. Whether it was a friendly conversation, a little help when I needed it, or simply being greeted with genuine warmth, they made the hotel feel less like a place I was staying at and more like a place where I was welcome. That kind of hospitality is rare, and it makes all the difference. The room was great, comfortable and well maintained, and the laundry service was incredibly convenient, especially as a traveller on a longer trip. The location was another big plus, making it easy to get around Siem Reap and explore the city without any hassle. 10mins by tuk tuk to all the major attractions. Right opp the hotel was the museum that i thoroughly loved. Right next the to hotel is a supermarket. It doesn’t get more convenient. What I appreciated most was that the hospitality never felt forced or transactional. It felt natural, personal and sincere. It’s one thing for a hotel to get the facilities right, but it’s the people who turn a good stay into a genuinely memorable one.
Nothing really but perhaps you can have some bright lights in the room for nights when you need to get makeup done haha.
