A true home away from home in Aswan – thank you, Omar!
Our stay at Saluga Guesthouse was nothing short of incredible, made truly unforgettable by Omar’s extraordinary hospitality. From the very moment my family and I arrived, Omar welcomed us with open arms and went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and cared for. Whether it was organizing seamless boat trips across the Nile or preparing a wonderfully intimate, delicious dinner for us, his attention to detail was exceptional. The breakfasts every morning were fantastic, the rooms were spotless, and the air conditioning worked perfectly—a very welcome comfort! Aswan is a beautiful destination, but our experience was elevated to another level entirely because Omar made us feel genuinely at home. We couldn't have asked for a better stay or a better host. Highly recommended to anyone visiting Aswan!
The bed was a bit hard but nothing that we couldn't manage

An interesting Aswan island experience.
We loved the river views. The double room with a balcony was comfortable. Staff member Omar was always available to ferry us to our different destinations in Aswan in his boat. He is a remarkably skilled boat captain and navigates the Nile cataracts expertly. The river journeys are fantastic and Omar would vary the routes to show us the sites. Breakfast was nice, and upon request, we were given a bag of breakfast items for our 5am Abu Simbel tour. The dinner at the hotel was quite good.
The island is remote. You can’t just step out and walk - you are reliant on boat transfers. For example: to get to Aswan airport for a 6:00 international flight we needed to get a 3:45 boat to the West Bank and then a taxi transfer in the dark. We were anxious about this, however Omar coordinated this for us and all worked out well. It would be really useful to have some written information about hotel facilities and boat prices - not because they were expensive but we didn’t know how much they were costing - we were only billed at the end.

The location can't be beat. Great view of the Nile from my room. Air conditioning was great! Staff was beyond helpful. Helped me coordinate tours and transportation to the train station. Even packed me a breakfast to go!
Nothing!
