    The chalet was quite clean. The kitchen has a washer/dryer and a dishwasher Which saved alot of time. The chalet is not too far from the beach so the location is good. The TV is big and the WiFi works well. The host allowed for a late checkout which was a bonus.

    Guests should be aware that after making the booking on Booking.com the you will be contacted by the hosts for an additional R1000 deposit which you will have to pay seperately. You will also be asked to send ID or passporrt copies of all guests etc. It is a bit admin heavy. If I know this at the time of booking I would have selected an alternative without these hassles.

    Whilst the location was great, we didn't get to enjoy the getaway due to the issue experienced.

    San Lameer is always an excellent getaway location. The golf course is maintained impeccably. Has a bit of everything for everyone.

    There was a sewer pipe that burst on our very first night that required emergency repair work. This continued throughout the night until approx. 10am the next morning. None of our family members were able to get any sleep that night. What was most astonishing and extremely disappointing was the response we received from the host upon reporting the matter to them. Needless to say, we won't be using this host ever again for any of our holiday travels.

    Nice and comfortable stay at San Lameer

    Clean and spacious

    The other bathroom is right next to the main bedroom - and we could hear our kids going to/from their bathroom.
