A lovely flat in the perfect location in San Marco
We were 4 guest in total (two couples) The flat is very well located and looks exactly like the photos. Some reviews from a few years ago mention that the flat was run-down or could have been cleaner. This was absolutely NOT our experience. Perhaps it has been renovated since then, but everything was in beautiful condition. The decoration, layout, and furniture are all high-end, and the flat feels very well cared for. The view from the terrace is phenomenal. You can clearly see the Basilica and Campanile of San Marco, along with much more of Venice. For anyone wondering, there are indeed two separate bathrooms, both on the main floor. One is en-suite to the bedroom on that floor, and the other is accessed from the hallway and has a full shower. Both bathrooms have hairdryers and basic toiletries. Towels and bedding are provided. There is no conditioner, so bring your own if you use it. The bedrooms have ample storage, including hangers, bedside tables with electrical outlets, and lighting. The beds and pillows are very comfortable. Air conditioning is available in each bedroom and the main living areas. The kitchen is well equipped with glassware, table settings, pots and pans, and a small coffee machine for making individual coffees. To Note*: The flat is on the top floor, requiring a climb of approximately three to four flights of stairs. As Venice is a historic city and the building is historic, there is no lift. We managed perfectly well, as we stayed for three nights and packed relatively lightly. However, this is worth considering if you have mobility issues or are traveling with elderly guests. A tip for future guests: Get up early to watch the sunrise from the terrace. It is a view you won't forget. It is also well worth walking to Piazza San Marco around 7 a.m., when the square is virtually empty. Seeing Venice wake up before the crowds arrive is a wonderful experience. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend the flat!
A few things could be improved to make the stay more comfortable. It would have been helpful if the concierge had spent a few minutes giving us a basic introduction to the flat, explaining how things worked and where to find certain items. Instead, we had to figure everything out for ourselves. The terrace door was not functioning properly when we first arrived, although this was an initial issue. We also had mosquitoes in the bedroom at night, despite never opening the windows. For stays of more than one night, I would suggest providing a tea towel in the kitchen for guests to dry their hands, glassware, and dishes. There wasn't one available in the flat. A roll of kitchen paper or paper towels would also be useful for everyday convenience and basic clean-up. The most concerning issue was on the morning of check-out. We left the keys on the dining table, as instructed by the concierge, and went downstairs to exit the building, only to discover that the main entrance door was locked from the inside and we couldn't get out. After ringing the doorbells of other flats, we eventually found the building concierge, who was able to let us out. Her explanation was that she had locked the door because other guests had left it open. However, there had been no consideration of the fact that guests might still be checking out and would have left their keys inside the flat, as instructed. This could have been a serious problem for anyone in a hurry to catch a flight or make another connection. Clearer coordination and consideration of departing guests would help prevent this situation from happening again.

Super Lage, tolle Wohnung.
