Amazing!
Fantastic experience. Amazing service from check in to check out. Nice spacious room with everything we needed for our three night stay in Reykjavik. The hotel is next door to the famous Sandholt bakery and right on the main shopping street. Easy access to shopping, tours, restaurants, bars, bus stops and famous sites. All the staff were amazing, friendly and helpful. Breakfast was very good with lots of options and friendly staff in the morning. Big shout out to Roberto who took great care of us as soon as we arrived until the day we checked out. Very helpful, friendly and made our experience even better A++++++ and 10/10!!!

Excelente ubicación, muy buen hotel, pero complicado si llegás en auto
Me alojé dos veces en el Sand Hotel durante el mismo viaje, primero una noche y luego otras dos, así que esta valoración es un promedio de ambas experiencias. La ubicación es excelente: tiene accesos a metros de la peatonal, está muy cerca de la calle que lleva a Hallgrímskirkja y a pocas cuadras de la costa. Para recorrer Reykjavík caminando, es difícil pedir algo mejor. Las habitaciones están muy bien y cuentan con todo lo necesario. En mi segunda estadía, además, estaba todo perfectamente resuelto en cuanto a mesas de luz y enchufes. El desayuno es bueno y correcto, y en general el hotel resulta cómodo y muy agradable.
En mi primera estadia me llamó la atención que no hubiera mesas de luz ni enchufes cómodos junto a la cama. En el desayuno extrañé una tostadora, ya que suelo desayunar tostadas. El principal inconveniente aparece si se llega con auto: el hotel no tiene estacionamiento propio - solo de cortesia - y las alternativas cercanas pueden complicarse bastante si uno necesita retirar el vehículo muy temprano, porque los estacionamientos 24/7 resultan caros. Tampoco quise arriesgarme a dejar el auto durante muchas horas en zonas de estacionamiento en la calle con restricciones. Además, el traslado del equipaje desde y hacia el hotel puede resultar incómodo por la distancia al estacionamiento, algunos escalones y sectores de piso irregular.
