Basic but with all facilities required. Cosy enough but the views are the most amazing and perfect for a walk or view fr
The beautiful location. Lovely outdoor space with picnic table and seating. Good for a couple.
The condition of the sofa bed mattress. The slightly worn down bathroom. The wood fired hot tub took a long time to heat, lots of wood needed, so not great for a short stay.

Location was perfect, lovely site sat right on the water and very peaceful.
Booked this as a 40th birthday treat for myself and 2 kids, we looked at lots of accomodation but chose here due to having a hot tub and thought this would be perfect for spending the 2 nights relaxing after busy days out and about. On arrival which check in is 4pm we were advised that there was a bag of wood supplied for the hot tub but we would require 2 more bags to get it up to temperature. Purchased the 2 bags at £21 and were told it would take a good few hours to reach temp. The hot tub finally reached a good temp around 7.45pm but by this point it was pitch black and we realised none of the outside lights were working so we could not use the hot tub as too unsafe. Reception closes at 5pm so had to wait until the next morning to report issue with lights to which we were told someone would come and look, we waited about half an hour and decided to head out as we had lunch booked in St Andrews and I thought they would be able to check whilst we were out. Once we arrived back (Reception was closed) there were still no lights working so again 2 very upset kids who could not use the hot tub. I reported this morning on check out and was told that they changed the bulbs but new fittings are needed and had they known this would have been done for us arriving. Not sure why they weren't checked for us arriving? Also said they were going to leave us an outdoor light but as we weren't back before Reception closed they didn't want to leave out incase someone took it. So not only out of pocket having to buy wood on arrival but then for our 2 night stay we couldn't use the hot tub which was a huge let down given I chose this and paid more than i would have for accomodation to have this feature. Very disappointing.
