    Lovely old country house in beautiful grounds . Paid extra for a lake view , but not much of it to see. Staff are lovely . Breakfast , plenty to choose from , toast and juice not topped up or asked if we needed anything else. Room was basic for amount paid. Walls needed cleaning / repainting. Bathroom , dust and spiders ,black mould in the shower, needs a deep clean. Bed was broken and didn’t fit together , and made a lot of noise when getting in and out. Clean bedding , and towels. No complimentery biscuits . Cheap , thin toilet rolls. Overall a lovely hotel , but needs attention to detail especially cleaning . Tea is disgusting , couldn’t drink it.
