The apartment looks exactly like the photos, and the location is excellent. However, our overall experience was disappointing. We informed the host in advance that we would arrive in Rome at 8:00 AM. We spent the entire day walking around the city with our luggage, waiting until the official check-in time of 3:00 PM. Unfortunately, even at 3:00 PM we were not able to enter the apartment. By 3:15 PM, our messages were still unanswered, and we only received help after calling. We were not given any instructions on how to enter the building, unlock the doors, or even turn on the lights. We had to call multiple times just to figure out how to get inside and use the apartment. If you arrive early because of your flight, be prepared that you may not be able to access the apartment at the official check-in time either. You might have to wait, keep calling, and hope someone eventually responds. The apartment was also not prepared very well. There was only one roll of toilet paper for an entire week’s stay, which is clearly not enough. We also found a lot of long hairs throughout the apartment, and the bed had a damp, musty smell that made it unpleasant to sleep in. The apartment itself is beautiful, but the poor communication, lack of cleanliness, and poor preparation significantly affected our stay.
