  Excellent stay

  The lodge was spotlessly clean and comfortable. Location was great, very close to the beach and Quay. John was an excellent host. Will definitely return.

  Great location for Avon Beach & good to have a parking space

  Location

  2nd bedroom v small - more appropriate for children than a 2nd adult - I was staying with my mum so she had double bed and I was in the small 2nd bedroom

  Living accommodation was lovely but beds were uncomfortable

  We had a lovely stay overall and really liked the lounge area and the kitchen, which were both lovely and well presented. There were, however, a few things that could be improved. We found the beds quite uncomfortable as the mattresses were very thin, and unfortunately the small bedroom had a very strong damp/musty smell, particularly from the bedding. We tried using Febreze and leaving the windows open, but sadly the smell didn’t clear. It would also have been helpful to have bath towels provided, or to have this made clearer before arrival. The toilet seat in the en-suite also needs a little attention as it needs repairing. With a few improvements, particularly to the bedding, mattresses and damp smell, this could be a really lovely place to stay.

  The location of the lodge was hard to find and no direct parking available my husband is disabled and it was a struggle to walk from the parking space to the lodge. The lodge is also set back 3 rows from the sea front so there is a view if you stand on the decking and look between the other lodges. I have included a map to show where lodge is
