    Worst Experience I Have Ever Had!!!

    Did not get to stay at the property because the company called me the day of arrival and said there was a “maintenance issue” but was charged the full amount for a property I didn’t even get to stay in.

    This has been by far the worst experience I have had with a booking and I use this platform frequently. This is what we experienced. I don’t know about this particular property because we did not get to stay in it. The service we experienced was extremely unprofessional and unacceptable. On the day of our arrival, Anthony with Tybee Vacation Rentals called at 11:30am to inform me of a maintenance issue with this home and said he would send alternative options. I agreed without hesitation, understanding that unexpected issues can happen. However, after waiting and receiving no email, I called the office at 12:35pm and was told Anthony was at lunch. I continued waiting, and at 1:21pm finally received an email with only one alternative home. My husband and I reviewed it immediately and responded at 1:32pm confirming it would work as we had no other option and had searched the entire area for another property that could accommodate our family and nothing was available. I received no acknowledgment—no call, no email. At 2:28pm, I called again and was placed on hold before being sent to voicemail. I emailed Anthony once more asking for confirmation. By 3:37pm, still no response. At this point, we were supposed to check in at 4pm but had no address, no entry instructions, and no confirmation that we even had a place to stay. I called again and spoke with Erica, who promised a callback within 15 minutes. By 4:27pm, still nothing. When I called back, an older gentleman answered, and the background noise of laughter made it difficult to understand him. After explaining the situation, he attempted to transfer me to Anthony. I waited on hold for about two minutes before Anthony finally answered and asked if we were okay with the option he sent—despite multiple calls and emails confirming this hours earlier. He blamed their system for being slow and placed me on hold again to finalize the booking.

    Property was a bit pricey for time stayed and the shower did not drain well, had to shower in standing water during our stay,

    Tybee Island quick getaway

    We loved the location, cleanliness, a multitude of towels.

    We could hear when someone left their home next door and the footsteps for the upstairs were so loud.
