  Bright uncluttered apartment. Great sea views. But Electric window shutter could lock you on balcony

  Lovely bright clean and uncluttered apartment. Beach is just across the broad pedestrian walkway Brilliant sea view and sunsets from the sitting room and balcony. We were able to arrange a slightly earlier check in as apartment was vacant and gratefully a later check out as we had a late flight to catch. Beach towels were available and a beach umbrella provided after we asked. Kitchen was well stocked with condiments. Cleaning products were available as well as spare suncreams and books to read. Host (Isabele) was available to contact via What's App. Responses ranged from 11 mins to 2.75 hrs mostly but on one occasion was 20 hrs and there was no response to the last message I sent. 2 of the nearby restaurants were very good. Tico Tico was excellent and had great service. Coral Food and Wine Tapas was also very good. A number if the others just served more simple bar foods. There is a good well stocked local supermarket just around the corner (< 50m away)

  There were no folding beach chairs available so we purchased 2 and left these behind for future guests to use. The coffee machine was faulty and was replaced with a second faulty machine. I think they might have required descaling as they both leaked from several places. I had to chase this up a couple of times. The 3rd coffee machine did work properly and was much appreciated. The electric balcony window shutters were difficult to operate. Unfortunately the electric shutter on the sitting room doors seems to be set on a timer. It closes automatically after 11pm every night. We didn’t know how to alter the programme and there were no instructions available although there were instructions for every other appliance in the apartment. The shutters closed twice while we were sitting out on the balcony. We had to duck under the closing shutter to get inside and stop it closing to avoid being locked outside on a balcony. But if anyone was alone out in the balcony they could end up being trapped outside. It might be safer to stop that automatic timer from closing the shutter and leave this on a manual control setting. I suggested this to the host at the end of our stay but received no response. I really think this item needs to be addressed.

  Very clean. Comfy bed/sofa . Perfect location. kitchen utensils and condiments. Lots of storage

  Easy to find/collection of keys from key box. The apartment is as described-large, light, clean and very comfortable (beds and sofa) with lots of storage. Balcony overlooks the sea/sunset and promenade for people watching. Balcony is also suitable for sun/shade. Very well equipped kitchen with all condiments. Lots of great restaurants nearby. Would happily return and highly recommend. Raizes beach bar is worth a visit - vegan and vegetarian options
