  Read this before paying.. trust me

  The location was good.

  The entire apartment is dilapidated. Do trust the reviews on this apartment as issues raised back in 2024 are still present to this day. The host was dismissive and defensive regarding the issues i raised and seem to blame the guests for natural wear and tear, when its the hosts responsibility to MAINTAIN the property. The host Booked the local council to come and paint directly outside the living room windows on our first morning. This removed any chance of privacy and had to close curtains and sit in the dark in the morning. My friend slept in the front room and i used the back room. We both barely had any sleep due to the bed frames and mattresses being below satisfactory for MOST people whereas the host blamed me for preference .... though you can see a consistent pattern of complaints regarding this area in particular . We both shared we felt itchy too so either there is fleas as there were dog hairs present . Or whatever the bedding is being washing in isnt good for the skin... we felt fleas were more likely due to the low standard of cleaning throughout the property. This is a basement flat. The garden you cannot access ... only accessible climbing through a window. The flats above WILL be noisy from around 5am as you can hear either a child or dog running back and forth. Everytime a bus goes by ( every 15mins) you will be woken up . Id advise unplugging the lamp in the bedroom as it is a touch lamp and throughout the night would turn itself on everytime a bus came by. There is peeling paint in every room. Limescale present any where it possibly could be present . Exposed wiring and damaged plug mains. Half the lights dont actually work. Wash everything before you use The kitchen drawers are heavy but come out very easily so watch yourself The chairs are heavily stained and completely unstable to sit on. I've never written a bad review as i normally speak with hosts direct.

  Pleasant

  Location and living room space and access to Brighton via bus was class and good dinning room space and facilities.

  Beds very uncomfortable, wouldn’t recommended if traveling without a dog as we both found it affected our sinuses negatively.

  One of the worst accommodations I have ever had to sleep in

  Unfortunately, I can't say anything positive about the accommodation. It is located in the basement, cold and dirty.

  The dishes are disgusting because there is no dishwasher, and it seems the previous guests didn’t wash them properly. The faucets are loose and constantly dripping. The light above the stove doesn’t work. You can hear constant stomping noises from the floor above. The extra bed was a disaster. We left two days early because the children felt so uncomfortable. Communication with the host is also difficult – he either responds very late or not at all. Booking.com, of course, provided no support whatsoever.
