Owner needs eyes on
Bedding was decent
Very dirty. Found dried blood on duvet and duvet cover, dirty towels behind bedroom door, tissue box full of used tissues, no handle for oven, dishes needed wash before use. First morning we found garbage all over front of house and splattered over door, which we had to pick up and wash. No idea where it came from and neighbor shops were very concerned and leant us a broom and dustpan to clean it. Street is incredibly noisy. Room was hot and unable to open windows and said window was lined with black mold. We found in the town that Whitby cottages of a similar size rent for 1/3 the price. Historic nature of property does not account for such a high price.

For us, this was an ideal stay for a family with children and dogs.
Amazing location, right in the centre of the hustle and bustle of Whitby. Beautiful cobbled streets on the doorstep. Small beach right there behind the cottage.
The cottage is comfortable with plenty of equipment in the kitchen. It's not especially modern or updated overall, but was very comfortable for what we wanted.
