Perfect family vacation
I have been coming to Sebasco since I was a kid. I now love bringing my own family here each August. We love coming in the late summer when the water is warmer and it’s less crowded. It’s the perfect place to unwind and regroup before school. My kids love riding bikes, playing golf, swimming and going to the Quarterdeck. Nearby Popham State Park is an absolutely gorgeous beach.

We got rest but were a little disappointed.
My husband and I wanted a quiet getaway for our 25th wedding anniversary. The website led us to believe the accommodations would be more upscale than they are. It is a family/kid/pet friendly resort with different kinds of accommodations. Our king room with a balcony in the Main Lodge was very comfortable. Ordering add-ons ahead was not worth doing. Getting them was too much work and the communication system was confusing. Lunch and dinner at the Pub was fabulous. Jesse, the night manager was great. He was very accommodating and we loved his humor. The afternoon bartender on 8/24 also took excellent care of us on our anniversary. The staff at this resort are all friendly and helpful. The younger staff seemed more conscious of obeying policy, while older staff were more amenable to special requests and making sure we were happy. We appreciated that. Breakfast was disappointing at both the restaurant (and very expensive) and the Mercantile. The programmed room telephone buttons didn't work and neither did our coffee maker. One balcony chair's webbing was very frayed. I was afraid of falling through the seat. We did get the rest we needed, however, and did not take advantage of the many available activities, except the delicious lobster Bake. This resort is better suited to families than older, more inactive couples. There was no place to sit comfortably in shade to read or just look at the beautiful view. A spa experience would also add a lot.
