  Terrible, dirty and extra charge applied after payment agreed.

  The bedsit was in a good location and the mattress was comfortable.

  Where do I start? We booked to stay for two nights through Booking.com at Genius discount for a cost of £122 on the page it showed the taxes and a cleaning charge of £30, but said the charges were included in the price, I submitted my card details that said I was charged £122, the receipt later came through showing £144 had been taken from my account. I would have never paid that amount for a bedsit when we could have stayed in a hotel cheaper. To add insult to injury the place looked clean when we walked in, but once we had a proper look around it was very dirty, especially considering the "cleaning fee"! The cover on the sofa was dirty with stains on the bottom front as though somebody has repeatedly swished a dirty wet mop around it. The dehumidifier was full when we arrived and so we had to empty it as we were told it had to run all of the time. In the two days we were there it did not even half full, so it had not been emptied prior to our arrival. The dehumidifier has deep dust in the casing and the filter was 80% clogged, so not sure how healthy breathing was in that space. The air vent of the refrigerator just under the door had handfuls of dirty dust hanging out of it just below where the food goes into the fridge. The teaspoons were all tea stained and the cooking utensils above the hob were all great and we had to wash the ones we needed to use. The description said that cooking oils, tea and coffee and things were provided, they were, but the oil had no date that I could see, the spray olive oil bottle was dirty and looked like the date said 2023. The spices were all out of date, some as much as 3 years, and the peppermint tea provided was also out of date. The bed screws were pulled out of the wall on one side of the bed but did not compromise the stability of the Murphy bed. There was nowhere to put your phone or a drink beside.the bed and the lights above the bed were too high to reach easily once in bed.

  Very enjoyable, we are returning.

  Location was perfect. Chalet had everything needed.

  More storage for clothing ie a small rail would be good. The rail in cupboard was too high to reach, also bed wasnt too comfortable but was sufficient.

  Restful

  Great location and views. Enjoyed the close proximity of Charmouth and Lyme regis. Handy for South West coastal walkway.
