    Lovely location and setup, ruined by being repeatedly woken by the alarm clock other guests and a fire alarm going off i

    Lovely and clean, well presented, comfortable bed and sheets. The staff checking us in couldn’t have done more to make everything clear and highlight the risk of setting off the fire alarm with use of the steam from the shower!

    Unfortunately we had our one night in the room rather marred by the radio clock alarm being set to 1am without our knowledge. At around 1.30am my wife was woken up by other guests hammering on the front door of the building to be let in (presumably by other guests). At 2am we were both again woken up by the fire alarm for the whole building going off because guests in a other room had opened the bathroom door with the shower running and the steam set the alarms off. As a result the whole building alarms we’re going off for 15 minutes. No one from the property came to check on us or ensure we were safe after evacuation. I have no idea how they even turned the alarms off without anyone attending. After managing to get some sleep, the next day we tried to mention it at checkout, but they just took the keys and walked off. No questions as to how our stay was or clue whether they were aware the whole property was woken Up by a prolonged alarm. Perhaps we should have made an effort to highlight the issues, but we were just exhausted and keen to leave.
