Gem of a find
Beautiful views & wonderfully quiet - was lucky to have a few clear nights to really stargaze & attempt some astrophotography. Definitely try to arrive before sunset so you can orient yourself - would not recommend trying to find this place (or your cabin) in the dark. Gordon provided great information & tips in the days ahead of time, plus a binder with helpful info. Wasn't bothered by bugs/mousetraps - you're in the country. Just follow the tips & you'll be fine. Bed was wonderfully comfortable - not too soft as some others have said. Mini-kitchen has all the basics you'd need. It's about 25-30min drive to Bryce Canyon; you also go through Red Canyon to get there - definitely worth a stop.
Upon entering, the cabin had a musty/off-putting odor - either you end up noseblind or opening the windows (keep the screens in place!) helps a bit, but once you return, it's right there again. Not sure if it's the septic system or drains - definitely not from the cattle; that sort of smell I expected but didn't encounter. One of the pillowcases also had some stains that didn't seem like it made its way through laundry.

Uniquely set within a very scenic ranch. The views of the stars at night and the mountains early in the morning while rambling on the extensive dewy lawn were rejuvenating. Our unit was very comfortable and all amenities including the kitchen were perfect. Driving up each evening felt like coming back to your very own home since there is no on-site presence for check-in etc. The check-in and check-out instructions provided during booking were very clear and our whole stay was smooth. Would love to stay here again.
